NYC Fashion Week Update!

We all know that this is Fashion Week in NYC and there are so many collections that are debuting for Fall 2010. Not that we are rushing things. That's just how the fashion world works. You might say that designers are always living in the future. It's high pressure. That's why in order to be a designer you actually must love the pressure and feed off of it. Or at least that's what I think. Here are a few pieces from some of my favorite designers collections that I am seeing so far:
Peter Som Fall 2010 Ready to Wear
Wow! This liquidy metallic cocktail dress is so beautiful and so much more refreshing than just a plain little black dress. I adore the fur.
What a beautiful Boho look from Peter Som. I love the long black bow on the delicate floral dress.
I love the color and texture of this ensemble.

The feathers used in the Alice + Olivia collection makes for a fun whimsy feel. I also LOVE the little hat. It feels very Victorian.

Catherine Malandrino had some beautiful pieces in her collection, but I do have to say it has a very different feel from her past collections. I never would have guessed that this was part of her collection. I LOVE the wider leg trousers and the orangy red color is great. The drapey top is so beautiful.

Philosophy had three different very definite themes for fall 2010. One was goth, the next was military, and the third was boho chic. I am not a goth girl, so I picked this military jacket dress and this boho girl skirt as my favorites from this collection.

These two are from Victoria Beckham's collection for fall 2010. I LOVE the Audrey Hepburn style little black flirty dress. And this sapphire blue jumpsuit rocks. Someday I am gonna stop talking about how cool jump suits are and I will own one!!!

This tweed pantsuit is stunning by Rebecca Taylor. The pants are so pretty and feminine. I am loving the portrait style collar on the jacket. And the minimalist look of this mineral blue dress is simply marvelous. The seaming looks so gorgeous. I wish I could touch all these fabrics!
